Newport News Television, the city’s government access cable channel has a new and improved website and streaming service with state of the art technology offering a much improved online viewing experience for citizens. This new service is available online at www.nnva.gov/nntv. The redesigned homepage features the most recently produced shows and one-click access to watching NNTV streaming live online on your desktop or laptop and on all mobile devices.

“We are very excited to offer a much improved live streaming option that plays on all devices and in a much higher resolution,” explains Director of Communications Cleder Jones. “Now residents will have access to City Council and Planning Commission meetings plus other programs regardless of whether they have cable or not.”

New with this service is live streaming of NNTV2 –the Announcement Channel. On this channel residents will find information on upcoming events and services offered in Newport News. NNTV2 is a 24 hour channel with bulletin board announcements, short video features , a continuous weather forecast and a text crawl. The new website and streaming service is another of many recent upgrades for NNTV including 100% production capabilities to high definition, digital delivery over fiber and IP plus a new playout server for more flexible program scheduling on 2 channels.
